Along with perilla leaves and napa cabbage leaves,
lettuce is the most commonly used vegetable for wraps in Korea.
Contrary to popular belief, it is a plant of the Asteraceae family,
and is genetically completely different from napa cabbage.
It was originally recorded to have originated in northern India,
and after being introduced through China, it was called "saengchae," the Chinese name for the plant.
In modern times, it was commonly referred to as "sangchi" or "sangchu,"
and "sangchu" became the standard term at the end of the 20th century.

The ideal cultivation period is from mid-March to mid-April.
It is best to grow seedlings in a seedbed for about a month
and transplant them when 3 to 4 true leaves have appeared.
Once the flower stalk emerges, the quality of the leaves decreases,
so it is better not to harvest them.

Lettuce is rich in various minerals, essential amino acids, vitamins, and moisture,
providing benefits such as detoxification, improved digestion, and skin hydration.
It also contains lactucin, classified as a lactucarium compound,
which is famous for its soothing and sleep-promoting effects.
However, because lactucin causes a bitter taste,
most commercially available lettuce
has been improved to have an extremely low content of this compound.

While preparing for my first birthday party, I really wanted to wear a colorful hanbok, so I looked around and found a luxurious colorful hanbok that I really liked! It also came with a yellow skirt, which I really liked! Thank you!
I'm so happy that the seed shipping costs are so low. I'm planning to buy other items next time, so please keep the prices reasonable in the future.
I first purchased this for my husband and children, but now I send it to both my parents' and in-laws' homes so that they can stay healthy. I now make sure to send it to my parents-in-law, who are 80, so they never run out. I will definitely continue to use your great products more often.
